OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

We have an enviable record of achievement that spans 140 years.

From the original Wembley Stadium, the centrepiece of the 1924 British Empire Exhibition, to today’s O2 Arena, it’s a success story built on continuous improvement and a pioneering approach to construction.

We continue to demonstrate our ability to deliver exemplary projects through a host of award-winning buildings - the hugely successful Emirates Stadium, Cabot Circus shopping centre in Bristol, Northumbria University’s City Campus East and the visionary Eden Project in Cornwall.

Horizon House, the Environment Agency’s new Bristol corporate office, is one of the latest in a series of projects to be honoured. The development recorded the highest BREEAM score ever awarded and was named winner of the BREEAM Office Award 2010.

Further west, the host of sustainable measures implemented by our site team at White River Place in St Austell saw the project pick up the BREEAM Retail Award 2010.

London arts and offices development Kings Place won Major Project of the Year at the British Construction Industry Awards 2009, also picking up accolades at the Construction News Quality Awards and the British Council for Offices’ Awards where it was named ‘Best of the Best’.

Across the capital, Thamesside office scheme Watermark Place won the Institution of Civil Engineers London Merit Award 2009, the city’s highest award for civil engineering excellence.

We were presented with the Sustainable Development of the Year Award for New Street Square in London, while the Riverbank House office development was honoured with the City of London Considerate Contractor Scheme Environment Award. It is the third time in recent years that we have won the accolade.

We have received a number of Gold Awards from the Considerate Constructors Scheme and a selection of developments recently completed by the company were honoured with Civic Trust Awards in 2009, placing them among the best new building and renovation projects in the British Isles.
