Methil Dock in Fife
1.61km of sea wall, a dock with a water area of 6.78 hectares, 1,828m of quay, an entrance channel 549m long by 37m wide and the complete reconstruction of extensive sidings and marshalling yards comprising 40km of railway. The entire work was carried out in exposed conditions, subject to ferocious gales sweeping up the Firth of Forth.
