Glasgow District Subway
One of the earliest examples of a tube railway in the world. The company constructed a section of the tunnel from a point just north of the new station in Buchanan Street to the station at St George’s Cross. It was the company’s first tunnelling project. The works also included construction of two of the stations on the subway system at St George’s and Cowcaddens.
