The company was named Major Contractor of the Year at last night’s Building Awards 2012, with AirW1, part of the Quadrant 3 development for The Crown Estate, picking up Project of the Year.
Hailed “a true industry giant” by the judges, the company was awarded the accolade in recognition of “its outstanding ability to deliver projects”.
The judges praised the completion of the Olympic Stadium early and under budget. They went on to note that “it’s not just the glamorous projects that the firm delivers to such a high standard,” singling out the M74 Completion and M1 Widening projects as “proof that delivering schemes quickly and efficiently does not mean having to compromise on quality”.
The awards were presented at a ceremony held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
