CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTOR AWARDS

April 3, 2009

A host of our projects were honoured in the National Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards 2009.

Our Colchester Garrison project team picked up a third consecutive Gold Award, the judges praising the way they minimised the impact of construction on the local community.

Singling out the team’s “sound communication strategy” and “helpful approach”, the judges said: “Together with excellent staff facilities and extensive support for community groups, this site demonstrated the highest standards of considerate construction and gave an excellent impression of the contractor and the industry.”

The Considerate Constructors Scheme National Awards recognise sites which demonstrate the highest standards of site management, community awareness and environmental practice.

As well as a third consecutive gold for Colchester Garrison, we collected silver awards for:

- BBC Hoddinott Hall, a concert hall and offices in Cardiff Bay,

- Project INSPIRE, accommodation for Dstl,

- The White River Place mixed-use development, St Austell,

…and Bronze Awards for:

- 45 Church Street office development, Birmingham,

- Swimming pool, Wentworth Leisure Centre, Hexham,

- Watermark Place office development, London.
