Covering 10 hectares, Highcross is the largest regeneration project Leicester has ever seen.
Highcross provides visitors with a choice of more than 120 stores in 110,000m2 of shopping space.
This design & build scheme entirely absorbed the Shires Shopping Centre which was completely refurbished and is now linked to a new two-level mall.
A restaurant quarter fronts onto open streets and two public squares, while 120 apartments provide luxury living in the heart of the city.
The Highcross scheme built on our
long-established relationship with the project’s joint venture
partners Hammerson and Hermes. Previous contracts have included One
London Wall, 280 Bishopsgate, the Bullring redevelopment in
Birmingham, Cabot Circus in
Bristol and The Oracle (Phase 3) in Reading.
Highcross won a
Gold Award in the In-Town Retail Scheme category of the British
Council of Shopping Centres Awards 2008.
The awards are designed to reward excellence in retail-led developments and recognise projects that generate improvements in the quality of the built environment.
