We built a sanctuary of modern-day luxury on the banks of the river Wear in the historic city of Durham.

The majestic Radisson SAS Hotel provides visitors to Durham with the perfect place to unwind.
With panoramic views over the river Wear to the cathedral city beyond, the four star hotel provides 207 stylishly appointed rooms, a restaurant, health and leisure club, indoor pool, spa, sauna and treatment rooms.
A dedicated business centre offers 1,100m2 of conference facilities along with event rooms capable of accommodating 600 people.

Sustainable construction techniques and materials included the use of oversized ‘Airtec’ blocks and locally sourced natural stone.
Plasterboard off-cuts were collected on site and returned to British Gypsum for recycling.
